Club Card

It's annoying that every drugstore and grocery store needs you to join their club and carry a card around with your own barcode. It would be much more convenient if they'd let you use one barcode or card for all of them, but I suppose people concerned about privacy might have a problem with that. I wouldn't be bothered since I've never given any of those stores my real information. The latest was in a drugstore last month when I made up a name and phone number, and the clerk's eyes lit up when I handed her the form and she saw the area code I'd invented. "Oh!" She said, "you're from Georgia." Sorry lady, never even been there, I just made that phone number up to save a dollar on this toothpaste.
