I've found that when people think of me, if they do, they often remember me in plaid. I'm not sure why. My friend Sam once summed it up as, "You're just into outdoorsy stuff. It's like you wear plaid a lot." But the truth is that I don't wear plaid very often. Or at least not anymore often than a normal human. I'll generally have one or two shirts with a plaid print in my rotation. It's not like I work as a lumberjack. But whenever I make a new friend or start working in a new office, after a few months, my friend will meet me at a bar wearing plaid or a new co-worker will come to work wearing plaid, and they'll say something like, "Hey! I dressed like you today!"
