There's a guy across the street from my apartment who sells gyros off a cart on the street. He's there slicing onions and tomatoes when I leave for work in the morning and he's still open after the bars close. I've never seen anyone buy his food, and I really want to help his business out, but there's no way I'm buying gyro meat that's been sitting on a grill for 14 hours. I wonder how he passes the long hours of the afternoon and who he finds to watch his cart whenever he needs to walk off to find a bathroom. The street meat business seems tough. Maybe I'll bring my friends a few of his gyros when I head over to their place this weekend.
