Thanksgiving is a handy holiday because no one has to buy gifts or dress up in costumes, and if at the end of the day you've taken a few minutes to reflect on your life and the things you're thankful for, you've achieved wild success. The only Thanksgiving I spent apart from my family was one in Utah. I brought a couple cans of cranberries and a bottle of Wild Turkey to a friend's house for a pot luck dinner. No one would drink the Wild Turkey, but about halfway through the group's second bottle of Jack Daniels that magically appeared, I noticed the Wild Turkey bottle in the recycling bin while the empty Jack Daniels bottle that I knew we finished was nowhere to be found. It was a Thanksgiving miracle.
