The weather has been erratic. One day it's 5F and the next it's nearly 60F. Before I pedal to work in the morning, I always look out my window to watch a few people walk past on the sidewalk to see what kind of jackets they're wearing to decide how I should dress. If I've learned one thing, it's that the jacket choices of people in my neighborhood are rather irregular. Yesterday I ducked out in a down jacket for coffee and found out it was over 50F. It seems all of the people who'd walked past my window that day had just flown in from Hawaii. The people who will offer the best gauge of how you should actually dress are construction and road workers. They have to work outside all day and are less likely to wear shorts when the temperatures dip into the teens.
