I love candy that I hated as a kid. In fact, almost all of my favorite foods are things that I hated when I was little. In grade school I was baffled by why someone would put themselves through the torture of a spicy dish, and now I've cultivated a taste for things so hot they leave chemical burns in my mouth. The only food that I haven't come around to is licorice. It tastes like a combination of a poisonous berry and something that died long ago. Though I did have a sip of Pernod with its odd anise flavor the other day and managed not to vomit. So I can't rule it out entirely.
