A woman called me at work the other day. This is rare as I never call anyone. Even if someone calls and leaves a voicemail I respond over email, in my own way trying to train them to contact me only via email. My phone is covered in abstruse buttons and lights I could never comprehend, which is baffling since I can figure out just about anything on my computer. This woman asked for someone else in my department and I informed her she had the wrong person. I said, "I can try to transfer you if you like." She must have been able to read something in my voice, some indication that I have no idea how the transfer feature works and she'd instead be sent to some endless on-hold waiting room because she said, "Uh, that's okay. I'll just call them." Well played woman I don't know.
