After about five days of traveling I opened up my laptop to try to find a hotel at my next destination. My laptop was buried at the bottom of my bag, but when I opened it I found a notification crammed between the screen and the keyboard from the TSA saying that they'd searched my luggage . It's like they go out of their way to find tucked away spaces to hide those things, like they're sending you a message that they're everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised to pop open my computer battery and find one in there, too. Not that I can blame them. Given the opportunity to rifle through peoples' luggage, I'd be thrilled at first, but I'm sure that would give way to boredom and then pranks. I'm just lucky they didn't steal all the insoles out of my shoes.
