Oddities

A coffee shop near my house has a sign that says "No laptops on weekends." I'm pretty sure they do that so that they have higher turnover. They don't want all the neighborhood hipsters pounding on their Macs writing screenplays and hogging the tables. I've never been in that coffee shop on a weekend, but I'm tempted to stop by and test them on this rule. Just how far will they go to enforce it? Will they politely ask me to leave, and if I refuse, will they call the police? It's easy to imagine reading about myself in the odd-stories section of paper for being the entitled guy who stands his ground and refuses to unplug his Mac and leave. It makes me think that there's probably another side to those stories I love to read so much. Not necessarily a logical side, but another side nonetheless.
