The Superbug

A head cold migrated from my throat through my sinuses and into my nose where it parked for a few days last week. As a consequence, I was unable to smell or taste anything for a few days. Around the same time I got a stomach ache. Then today when my skull cleared up, I was able to taste again, and I discovered that everything I've eaten over the last few days tastes like garbage. These bananas I bought at $.19 each smell like spider poison, and I didn't even think it was possible for almond milk to go bad. If my cold had lasted a few more days I might not have survived. I guess I can put the cold/flu superbug theory to rest. Next time I get a head cold I need to employ a friend as a food taster.
