Violent TV

I like to watch TV shows like Dexter and Breaking Bad but my wife abhors ultra violence (I can't blame her) so we never watch them. Then she goes out of town for a weekend and I watch 20 hours of a TV show where a lot of people get killed. It leaves you with a kind of vacuumed out feeling, though I suppose that's what happens with all forms of bingeing. Worse is trying to avoid all the spoiler alerts and conversations when these TV shows are happening in real time. You have to divorce yourself from parts of popular culture in the present, and then when you catch up much later no one wants to talk about it anymore. Remember chat rooms? I'm going to try to bring them back, named after seasons of popular TV shows where you can go in and talk to people about what's happening as you watch.
