Work Jackets

I wore my friend's ski instructor jacket and pass for an afternoon at the hill. He had a beard in his lift ticket photo and I wore ski goggles -- no self-respecting chairlift operator would bust me. While standing at the lift line I noticed an instructor with a jacket matching mine struggling with his class of toddlers. He shouted to me for help -- would I mind taking this kid to the top? I didn't want to raise suspicions, and in doing so, I likely broke about 15 laws by pulling the kid onto the chairlift, chatting with him on the way up, and then depositing him with a new group lesson at the summit. Those ski instructor jackets are like the white coats doctors wear, people just go ahead and trust you.
