It's so easy to make plans. Someone will call or email and ask, "Hey, you want to go see this band tomorrow?" It's a band you've wanted to see for a long time. It's cheap, near your house, and shouldn't be too crowded, so you say, "Yes." If your friend had asked, "Hey, you want to go see this band tonight?" You'd answer, "I would like to see that band, but I don't feel like going out tonight." It's so much easier to say yes to something when it's in the abstraction of tomorrow. You never know, tomorrow you might feel like staying out instead of going home after work. You might feel like staying up late, drinking beers and running all over town. But then tomorrow becomes today, and none of those magical feelings have manifested themselves. It's so much easier to make plans for tomorrow.
