Corporate Takeover

There's a sandwich shop right next to my office called Out of the Kitchen where I find myself eating much more often than I'd like. If I go to the gym or for a run over lunch, it's the easiest place to stop and grab a plastic-wrapped sandwich before I duck back into work. Their food is okay but, I could buy a rotisserie chicken and loaf of bread from the grocery store for the prices they charge for a chicken sandwich. Then last week a new Pret A Manger opened a few doors down. I looked into them, and they're famous for their environmental practices and using top ingredients. And they're way cheaper. For the first time I find myself cheering for a corporation to put a local place out of business, and I'm having a really hard time getting used to that idea.
