Mealtime Inconsistencies

In spite of eating rather simple food I go out to eat a lot. One of my favorites is the build-your-own salad where the employee mixes all the ingredients for you. Every time that I go I get a very boring combination of spinach, peppers, parmesan cheese, croutons, and garbanzo beans (or chickpeas, depending on where you reside in the country). Despite going to the same place to get my food, the price varies each trip. The cheapest it has been is about $6 and the most it's cost is about $8; usually it hovers around $7. The thing is, when it's $6.25 or $6.50, I feel like I just got a great deal. And when it's $7.50 or so, I get very cross with the store and silently curse them for ripping me off. The fact is, it's a very small difference there's no value in attaching any emotions to it. Or at least that's what I tell myself when it's expensive. When it's cheap I just live it up.
