The Minneola is a very confusing fruit. I thought it was a hybrid between a tangerine and an orange, but a quick search online revealed that it's a cross between a tangerine and a pomelo or grapefruit. It looks like an orange with an odd lump sticking out of it. The confusion, for me, comes from the name. I'm not sure where the "minn" part comes from. I'd like to suggest that grocery stores around the country began calling them orangearines or tanger-grapefruits. You're welcome (please wire me $1 million).
