In Hawaii they play all the NFL games live at 7am on Sunday morning, and then they also tape delay them and replay them in the afternoon. You never feel so far away from home as when you're watching the Monday Night game at 1:30 in the afternoon. And it's funny, that's one of the reasons people end up leaving that state. One 20-year resident I met explained it to me like this: There's no live music, because who's going to travel 2,400 miles to play one show? There's no sports, because who would be in their conference? And there's no going on road trips, because you can drive all the way across the island at 40mph in the span of a morning. Also, there's no gambling on the islands. The only reason I know that is because I tried to buy all of my friends scratch-off lotto tickets from Hawaii as gifts (they'd have a hard time redeeming winners). If you can live with those issues, I highly recommend the move to paradise.
