This week I managed to vote and donate money to a good cause. Donating money to NPR, the Red Cross, or anything you feel good about supporting is the best investment ever. Not because it supports those people, but because it offers an amazing altruistic high. It makes you feel like you're stepping out to make the world a better place, even if the amount of your donation was equal to one-quarter of your bar tab from the night before. What I need is someone like the Red Cross or NPR to open a bar I like and donate half the money they make to the charity. I could feel good, feel good about drinking a lot, and also write it all off my taxes.
