Apartment Repair Times

I live in an old apartment building with sinks and shower drains that would get lucrative offers on Antique Roadshow. They break often, but in spite of the ancient fixtures, my building mangers use a modern website that allows you to report problems. Our online account is linked to my wife's email address, as on the lease she is the only resident here, so they email her the time they'll show up to fix our overflowing bathtub. Since I never see the email to find out when they'll arrive, it adds an element of mystery to my mornings. Will the sink be fixed? Or will some stranger be standing in the living room waiting to fix the shower when I get out of it? That's happened a few times, and I find it a bit unsettling, but I'm sure it's more of a shock to the repairmen who arrive expecting to see the sole female listed on our lease emerging from the shower.
