Some are born leaders. Some are born dancers. Some are born to be dancers that lead. I can admit to myself that I am none of these things, except I do assert myself when slow dancing with my wife. The only occasions we have to slow dance are weddings, when I most often find myself a victim of the open bar, open to drift about the dance floor while my wife leads. But more recently, I've asserted myself: zigged when she expected me to zag. It has done nothing to enrich our relationship. My advice: Just let your partner lead and enjoy the free drinks.
