The Filth

The house we lived in during college was very nice when we moved in, but during the three years we called it home, it accumulated with hoarder garbage. At one point we had so many couches that we had to stand them up vertically on their sides, you couldn't even sit on them. It was an odd decision to keep them. And for at least two of those years I stepped over a partially dismantled console television that my one roommate had begun taking apart, intent on turning it into a fish tank, but instead it sat in a pile on the stairs. That I never bothered to throw it away is, to me, a symbol of my infinite hope rather than laziness, I'm also not sure I knew where the trash was kept.
