Over the weekend I was in charge of creating two kinds of party punch: one N/A and one with booze. In general I avoid making punch for get-togethers since no one ever drinks it and I and up having to drink it all since I hate waste/love punch. So, I filled a punch bowl with bourbon, triple sec, lemonade, and a splash of 7-Up. It went over much better than I anticipated, there was only about an inch left in the bowl. While sending our guests off with leftover food, my wife dumped a plateful of fresh cut fruit into the leftover punch so she could use the fruit tray. I'd hoped to eat the fruit for breakfast all week and drink the punch after work, but eating booze-soaked punch is not a breakfast option. So now instead of a drink after work I'm enjoying a real fruit cocktail.
