Dog Playing

My friend Nate's parents had two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. They're monstrous dogs with a friendly disposition. The breed comes from Africa where they were used in lion hunts. They were fun to be around, but they had an aggressive side towards non humans. For example, they ate almost all the dry wall off the walls of his parents' garage. His dad finally stopped them by covering them in a hot sauce that packed more chemical burn than chipotle flavor. One day I was trying to play with them and I made a sudden movement, a bit of a jump. Instead of jumping on it's own and playing, the dog started peeing all over the floor. From that day forward whenever I went near it, it would shake in fear and cower away. I've never gone lion hunting but those things must be way less ferocious than I thought.
