I love the technology that allows me to deposit my checks over my smart phone. It's simplified my life to a great degree since there every time I join a bank they end up contracting and closing all their branches near my office and home. Wall Street investors could track my banking decisions and gain incredible insight. One aspect of depositing my checks by phone that I didn't anticipate was all my physical checks piling up. The bank warns you to keep them, and cashing checks via camera phone seems so fly-by-night that I'd keep them even if they told me not to. I know all these checks have cleared, but I keep them around. If my bank's computer system is every destroyed I'll go ahead and try cashing all of them again.
