The Disappearing Act

I've had the misfortune of having a shipment of mine get lost by UPS. It's the first time this has happened to me in what must be hundreds of orders over the course of my life. All told, UPS and I have had an amazing run. What a track record. It shocks me that more packages don't go missing off the backs of the trucks, or wherever they go. Every day I must walk past at least two UPS trucks sitting on the corner, their back doors wide open and full of boxes with things like big Apple logos on them, and the truck driver is nowhere in sight. It's tempting for me to grab something and run off. Opening it would be as fun as Christmas morning since you'd have no idea what you were getting. And if that's not enough, there's the thrill of potentially spending time in jail and ruining your career if you get caught.
